An asteroid the size of a Boeing 747 jumbo jet that has more than a 2.3% chance of hitting Earth has just been discovered. The asteroid, named 2024 YR4, is currently 27 million miles away and has a 1-in-43 chance of hitting Earth in 2032.
It’s actually the shortest odds we’ve seen of a possible impact ever, although with a probable miss of 99%. At least we can’t blame Trump or the Tories for this one!
Scientists have updated the doomsday clock and it has been moved even closer to Midnight - meaning the risk of humanity creating a man-made catastrophe that will wipe out all humans is even greater. Is it any surprise that this has happened since Trump started threatening the rest of the world? Can he even read a clock?
In 100 years we will all be buried as will all our relatives and friends. Strangers will live in our homes we worked so hard to buy, and they will own everything we have today. Our descendants will hardly care who we were, nor will they remember us. How many of us know our grandfather’s father?
After we die, we will be remembered for a few more years, then we are just a photoon someone’s bookshelf or website, and a few years later our history, photos and deeds disappear in history’s black hole. We won’t even be memories.

In other words, another bite being taken out of the NHS by creeping privatisation targeting people in need of special care, support, or protection because of age or disability.
King’s College Hospital in Lambeth has installed a pay-to-use system for the less fortunate patients Unless arriving in an ambulance, people arriving at the hospitals A&E department and unable to walk, are pointed towards a dock full of wheelchairs unlocked by a credit card machine, with charges docked to the user’s credit card after the first four hours, which are free. After that each wheelchair costs patients £2 an hour, and with an average waiting time of up to 12 hours, being incapacitated can be an increasingly expensive experience with those with mobility issues often being some of the sickest patients who often have to wait hours to be seen.
This has replaced the formerly available free hospital owned-and-operated wheelchair system, and the continued pillage of the once world envied National Health Service continues apace, no matter which Government is in power, in the face of rampant capitalism. Wake up before it’s too late and get in touch with your MP’s and Councillors, otherwise like many other stealth taxes, it will be there, and you will be complaining much too late.
