Today's Thoughts

  • If someone created a plan to ‘Destroy the U.S.A.’ from within, it would look exactly like what Trump is doing. He is engineering chaos because he has nothing good to offer. No vision, no ideas, no morals, no intelligence, just tearing down what others have built, and blaming others for his shortcomings. As Sun Tzu stated, “An evil man will burn his own nation to the ground to rule over the ashes”.

  • Looking back at a photograph of Lambpit Street in Wrexham as it was ‘pre-development’ , when you look about what that street has been replaced with, the Kremlin with the Berlin Wall opposite, is it any wonder that people are disgusted by the ill-thought out replacements? With the destruction of the Vegetable Market and its surrounding streets, the heart was ripped out of the market town that Wrexham was, and its original character destroyed forever. Parts of the town are constantly being ‘removed’ but either nothing, or buildings of low architectural value put in the place of buildings that held character and history. The town looks very much like any other town throughout the UK, with identical building materials being used on buildings that are twins of the same universal style. Even the paving on the streets is exactly the same. We have been robbed of character and identity in pursuit of ‘modernisation’ and, let’s be honest, the town looks nothing like a city. In fact, Wrexham looked more like a high status small city a hundred years ago, the changes forced on it have downgraded it to an Ikea version of what it once was.

  • Ah, the good old Thatcherite values. Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch says her party will ban strikes by all NHS doctors if they return to power.I suppose the good thing is, the Tories will NEVER return to power. How stupid would you have to be not to see the results of this ‘policy’? Straight away, after training, doctors either leave the country for better pay and conditions, or if not, go in to private practice, leaving the NHS with NO doctors. Then again, that’s the real aim isn’t it? Another step in the privitisation of a health service that was once the envy of the world, and a further step towards the US private system, where you get treated according to how much you can pay, and even then you could end up bankrupt for simply being sick. Don’t fall for this further erosion of your rights, support the doctors.

  • Does the Mango Mussolini actually know there’s a difference between a windmill and a wind turbine ? Or is this some weird anti-flour milling thing his latest rant is against? In fact, this latest batch of insanity ties in with his visit to his golf course in Scotland. In 2015, Don Boy lost a big court case in the UK in trying to prevent a wind farm being built within sight of his little kingdom, and since then has been seething about it. Now, like all of his outpourings, now he has a voice, he has taken aim at this ruling indirectly, and dressed it up by blaming windmills (lol) for everything from the death of whales to destruction of the landscape. Quite ironic in the second case given his propensity for building massive, ugly towers that dwarf their surroundings. Everything he does always has a track back to making him or his associates richer, or more imprtant in his view, and always at the expense of someone else. To give him his due, he no longer hides this, it’s there, in the open. Yet, like lemmings, no-one seems to call him out. This is because of the climate of fear he has engendered, where speaking out results in dire consequences. Until someone in the USA actually stands up to be counted, the rest of the world will see that country for what it has become. Instead of the beacon of democracy it once was, it is now a dark dictatorship, akin to the Idi Amin generation of banana republics. And look how those ended. Oh, and he also cheats at golf! (at our expense, 5000 police officers being paid for by you and I to ‘guard’ him, whilst the rest of the country continues to become lawless ).

  • Let’s hope everyone whining about the new Wales tourist tax never have to visit Manchester, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole, Liverpool, Blackpool, Great Yarmouth, Tweed Valley, Loch Ness, or Moray & Speyside which already have tourism taxes often referred to as “City Visitor Charges” or “Visitor Levies”. Strangely you never heard any of the protests when these taxes were imposed, and Cornwall will soon follow. The Welsh Tourism Tax is a proposed charge set to be introduced in Wales from 2027. It involves a fee of £1.25 per person per night for most accommodations (like hotels, B&Bs, and self-catering stays) and £0.75 per night for campsites and hostels. The levy aims to fund local tourism infrastructure, promote sustainable tourism, and support the Welsh language. All this fuss for the price of a bar of chocolate? And it hasn’t even arrived yet……..

  • With Trump referring to the Argentine President Javier Milei as a “great leader” and considering signing a trade agreement with Argentina, how long do you think it will be until Krasnov decides the Falklands ‘belong’ to his new friends and supports them becoming an Argentine state, rather like his proposed invasion of Greenland? Better get those defense monies in place..
